How will I be paid when I sell my car to Driveway?

While we’d love to give everyone a giant cardboard check like the ones in those old sweepstakes commercials, it turns out they’re really hard to cash. Go figure! Fortunately, we have better ways to get money in your pocket as quickly as possible.  

After scheduling your appointment to sell your car to Driveway, you'll get an email from our partners at U.S. Bank. Use the link in that email to get set up to receive payment directly to your bank account using one of two digital payment services: RTP or ACH. 

RTPs (or real-time payments) are the newest and fastest method for getting your money in your pocket, and most major banks are set up to receive these kinds of payments. If your bank isn't set up for RTP yet, you'll get your payment via an ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfer, which takes 1–3 business days to reach your account.  

Your digital payment will be on its way to you as soon as your Driveway pickup appointment is completed. Both RTP and ACH are safe, secure, fast, and convenient. Plus, you'll avoid the hassle and delay of dealing with a manual check deposit.
